Laser Treatments
How Can Lasers Fix Cosmetic Concerns?
Lasers use different intensities of heat to destroy the outermost layer of skin and heat the underlying layers of skin. This stimulates collagen production and results in a variety of cosmetic improvements. Lasers can help treat, remove, or minimize the appearance of a variety of concerns, such as:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sagging skin
- Excess fat deposits
- Cellulite
- Acne
- Acne scars
- Scars
- Sun damage
- Hyperpigmentation
- Uneven skin tone

Recovering From Laser Procedures
Take a Day Off
Depending on your treatment, you may be red or peeling for one day to several weeks after your treatment. If possible, take a few days to recover at home so you can closely care for your treatment site.
Wear Sun Protection
Stay out of the sun if possible. If you have to be outside, wear protective clothing and try to stick to shady areas as much as possible. Wear sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, even indoors.
Avoid Certain Products
Your skin will be sensitive after laser resurfacing and other laser treatments, so give it the time it needs to heal. Use gentle cleansers and moisturizers starting one day after your treatment. Avoid using harsh products like retinoids for several days. Forego wearing makeup over the treatment site until it has healed.
Be sure to follow all aftercare instructions given to you by Dr. Berbari.
